Symphony No. 6 in B minor, Op. 74, "Pathétique" is the sixth symphony by Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, completed in 1893. The work exemplifies late-Romantic orchestral writing, combining expansive lyrical lines, rich harmonic language and dramatic contrasts with an unconventional slow, sombre finale, and it stands as Tchaikovsky's last completed symphony and a significant point in his symphonic career.
