Cello Concerto No. 2 is a concerto for cello and orchestra by Dmitri Shostakovich, composed in 1966. The work exemplifies Shostakovich's late style, featuring concise thematic material, austere and sometimes terse orchestral textures and contrapuntal writing, and it is his second major concerto for the instrument completed late in his career.
