Symphony No. 4 in E minor, Op. 98 is the fourth symphony by German composer Johannes Brahms, completed in 1885. The work combines late-Romantic orchestral richness with classical forms, characterised by dense harmonic writing, contrapuntal textures and a passacaglia-inspired finale that represents a summation of Brahms's symphonic techniques.
