Má Vlast
Album by Bedřich Smetana & Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra & Libor Pešek
Má Vlast is a cycle of six symphonic poems by Czech composer Bedřich Smetana, composed between 1874 and 1879. The work exemplifies Smetana's mature, programme-driven style, using vivid orchestration, recurring motifs and nationalist themes to evoke Bohemian landscapes and legends and occupies a central place in the development of Czech national music.
