John Coltrane with the Red Garland Trio

John Coltrane with the Red Garland Trio is an album by American jazz saxophonist John Coltrane, released in 1958. Musically it is rooted in hard bop and features Coltrane's longer improvisations over a swinging piano-bass-drums rhythm section; it was recorded early in his move from sideman work toward his own sound.
