La Nuit Transfigurée (Verklärte Nacht) is a string sextet composition by Austrian composer Arnold Schönberg, completed in 1899. The work employs late-Romantic chromaticism and richly expressive string textures and is commonly regarded as a transitional piece that foreshadows Schoenberg's later move away from tonal harmony towards atonality.
