Symphony No. 7 is the seventh symphony by Ludwig van Beethoven, composed in 1811–1812 and premiered in 1813. The work exemplifies early 19th-century orchestral writing, emphasising rhythmic drive, bold dynamic contrasts and rich orchestral colour, and it occupies a central place in Beethoven's middle-period symphonic output as a bridge toward his late style.
