Synaphaï

Album by Iannis Xenakis

Synaphaï is a composition for violin and orchestra by Greek-French composer Iannis Xenakis, completed in 1969. The work exemplifies Xenakis's use of mathematical and stochastic processes to produce dense, highly rhythmic and sonorous textures with extended instrumental techniques and complex interactions between soloist and ensemble, reflecting his experimental orchestral writing in the late 1960s.
