Album by Johannes Brahms & Alban Berg & Antonín Dvořák & Jean Sibelius & Sigrún Eðvaldsdóttir & Sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands
The Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 77 is a violin concerto by German composer Johannes Brahms, composed in 1878. The work blends expansive symphonic orchestral writing with technically demanding solo passages and lyrical slow-movement material, and it is one of his principal contributions to the violin repertoire and the late-Romantic concerto tradition.
