Brandenburger Concerti no. 1 in F major / no. 3 in G major / no. 4 in G major

The Brandenburg Concertos Nos. 1, 3 and 4 are part of Johann Sebastian Bach's collection of six instrumental concertos, composed and compiled in 1721. Scored for varied combinations of strings and winds, these concertos exemplify Baroque concerto grosso technique through intricate counterpoint, rhythmic vitality and contrasting instrumental colours, and they occupy an important place in Bach's output and the development of Baroque instrumental music.
