Symphonie nr. 6 "Pastorale" op. 68

Symphony No. 6 in F major, Op. 68, titled the Pastoral, is the sixth symphony by Ludwig van Beethoven, composed in 1808. Rooted in the late Classical style with early Romantic elements, the symphony uses programmatic elements to depict rural scenes through lyrical themes, rich orchestral colour, dynamic contrasts and sudden storms, and it comes from Beethoven's middle period when he moved towards more descriptive, nature-inspired music.
