Symphonie no. 5

Album by Anton Bruckner & Staatskapelle Dresden & Giuseppe Sinopoli

Symphony No. 5 in B-flat major is the fifth symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, completed in 1876. The large-scale late-Romantic work is characterised by dense orchestration, expansive formal architecture and intricate contrapuntal writing, representing a culmination of Bruckner's mature symphonic style and his experimental approaches to tempo and structure.
