Symphony No. 7, "Seven Gates of Jerusalem", is the seventh symphony by Polish composer Krzysztof Penderecki, completed in 1997. The large-scale choral symphony combines orchestra, choir and solo voices in dense modernist sonorities alongside modal and tonal references and expanded brass and percussion writing, and sits in Penderecki's late period as a sacred-scale work reflecting his shift from avant-garde techniques toward a more neo-Romantic, expressive language.
