Late Piano Works

Album by Alexander Nikolayevich Scriabin & Yuri Paterson-Olenich

Late Piano Works is a collection of late piano pieces by Russian composer Alexander Scriabin, composed between 1903 and 1915. They are characterised by expanded chromatic harmony, dense and often mystical textures, and evolving forms that push beyond late-Romantic idioms into early modernist and atonal territory, marking a decisive late-career shift in Scriabin's compositional language.
