Nabucco is the third opera by Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi, premiered in 1842. The work exemplifies Italian Romantic opera with prominent choral writing, expressive solo vocal lines and dramatic orchestration, and it marked a turning point in Verdi's early career that helped establish his reputation within mid‑19th-century Italian opera.
