String Quartets

Album by Sergei Sergeyevich Prokofiev & Sequoia String Quartet

String Quartets is a set of three string quartets by the Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev, composed between 1931 and 1947. The works occupy his mid-to-late career and combine neoclassical forms, lyrical melodic writing and moments of dissonant modernism that trace the evolution of his chamber-music language.
First released: 1983
