Má Vlast
Album by Bedřich Smetana & Narodowa Orkiestra Symfoniczna Polskiego Radia w Katowicach & Antoni Wit
Má Vlast is a cycle of six symphonic poems by Czech composer Bedřich Smetana, composed between 1874 and 1879. The music blends Czech nationalist themes with late-Romantic orchestration, featuring folk-inspired melodies, rich orchestral colour and programme-driven depictions of Bohemian landscapes and history, and it represents one of Smetana's principal late works that helped define the Czech national style.
