The 19 Waltzes
Album by Fryderyk Chopin & Zoltán Kocsis
The 19 Waltzes is a collection of solo piano pieces by Frédéric Chopin, composed between 1827 and 1847. The pieces are rooted in the Romantic piano tradition, characterised by graceful dance rhythms, lyrical melodies, expressive rubato and harmonic inventiveness, and they chart Chopin's development from early salon miniatures to more harmonically adventurous, emotionally varied works within his oeuvre.
