Symphony No. 8 "Symphony Of A Thousand"
Album by Gustav Mahler & London Symphony Orchestra & Leonard Bernstein
Symphony No. 8, 'Symphony of a Thousand', is the eighth symphony by Austrian composer Gustav Mahler, completed in 1906. A massive late-Romantic choral and orchestral work combining vast vocal and instrumental forces, it blends hymn-like and symphonic textures and represents a culmination of Mahler's late exploration of vocal-instrumental synthesis and expansive formal scale in his output.
