Vingt regards sur l'Enfant-Jésus is a piano cycle composed by French composer Olivier Messiaen in 1944. The work comprises twenty contemplative movements that fuse modal harmonies, complex rhythmic devices, richly coloured sonorities and religious imagery, and it occupies a central place in Messiaen's output for the piano by synthesising his interests in rhythm, harmonic colour and mysticism while informing later twentieth-century piano writing.
