Blue Haze

Blue Haze is an album by American jazz trumpeter Miles Davis, released in 1954. Musically it draws on cool-jazz and early hard-bop elements, featuring intimate small-group arrangements, restrained muted-trumpet tones and concise improvisation, and it occupies an early-1950s phase in Davis's career when he was consolidating a pared-back, melodic approach that preceded his later modal work.
