Brandenburg Concertos: Nos. 1, 2 and 3 are three of the six instrumental concertos by German composer Johann Sebastian Bach, published in 1721. They are Baroque concerto grosso works that contrast small groups of solo instruments with the larger ensemble, employ varied instrumentation and textures across movements, and date from Bach's early 18th-century period when he wrote much of his instrumental music.
