The Planets, Op. 32 is an orchestral suite by English composer Gustav Holst, completed in 1916 and first performed in 1918. Written for a large symphony orchestra, it explores a wide range of orchestral colours, contrasting rhythmic drive and novel harmonic textures, and represents a significant work in Holst's output and in the development of early 20th-century British orchestral music.
