Songs of the Auvergne is a song cycle by French composer Joseph Canteloube, composed and published in stages between 1923 and 1930. The work comprises orchestral arrangements of traditional Auvergnat folk melodies for soprano, characterised by lush orchestration, modal harmonies and pastoral rhythms, and occupies a central place in Canteloube's output as his effort to bring regional French song into the concert repertoire.
