String Quartet

String Quartet is a chamber composition by American composer Morton Feldman, completed in 1983. The work exemplifies Feldman's late-period approach, employing extended duration, extremely soft dynamics, sparse, slowly shifting textures and an emphasis on timbre and sustained sonorities rather than conventional thematic development, placing it among his large-scale late works that explored extreme duration and quietness.
