Daphnis et Chloé

Daphnis et Chloé is a ballet by the French composer Maurice Ravel, completed in 1912. The score is an impressionist orchestral work for large orchestra and wordless chorus that features lavish, colourful orchestration, modal and whole-tone harmonies and delicate rhythmic textures, and it occupies a central place in Ravel's orchestral output and in early 20th-century French music.
