Symphonies 37, 40 & 41 "Jupiter"

Album by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart & London Mozart Players & Jane Glover

Symphonies Nos. 37, 40 and 41 ('Jupiter') are orchestral works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, composed in 1780 (No. 37) and 1788 (Nos. 40 and 41). They span late-classical styles from lighter early symphonic writing to the dramatic, chromatic language and contrapuntal culmination of the 'Jupiter' finale, illustrating Mozart's development in orchestration, harmonic daring and formal mastery at the end of his symphonic output.
