Doctor Atomic
Album by John Adams & Gerald Finley & Julia Bullock & BBC Symphony Orchestra & BBC Singers & John Adams
Doctor Atomic is an opera by American composer John Adams, premiered in 2005. The work employs Adams's post-minimalist language—repetitive motifs, expansive orchestral colour and dense vocal and choral writing—to depict the ethical and scientific tensions of the atomic age, and it is among his operas from the early 21st century.
