Má vlast is a cycle of six symphonic poems by Czech composer Bedřich Smetana, composed between 1874 and 1879. Rooted in late-Romantic and nationalist traditions, the work uses vivid orchestral colour, folk-inspired motifs and programme-driven depictions of Bohemian landscapes and legends, representing Smetana's mature compositional period and an important development in Czech national music.
