Daniel Variations
Album by Steve Reich
Daniel Variations is a 2006 composition by American composer Steve Reich. Scored for voices and small ensemble, it employs Reich's post-minimalist techniques—repetitive motifs, interlocking rhythms and phased vocal patterns—setting short texts drawn from the biblical Book of Daniel and contemporary sources and representing a continuation of his exploration of text-led, rhythmically driven works in his later career.
