Symphony No. 1

Album by Anton Bruckner & Deutsches Symphonie‐Orchester Berlin & Riccardo Chailly

Symphony No. 1 in C minor is the first numbered symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, composed in 1866. The work showcases Bruckner's early large-scale orchestral writing with expansive structures, dense harmonic language and prominent brass writing, and marks his first mature symphony that foreshadows the monumental approach of his later symphonies.
