Bolero / Rapsodie Espagnole
Album by Maurice Ravel & London Symphony Orchestra & Michael Tilson Thomas
This release is a recorded collection of orchestral works by the French composer Maurice Ravel, composed in the early 20th century (1907–08 and 1928). The music combines impressionistic orchestral colours with Spanish-influenced rhythms and vivid instrumental textures, often built on repetitive rhythmic patterns, and represents key examples of Ravel's mature orchestral style and his interest in exoticism and dance forms.

First released: 14th February 1989
