Seven Standards 1985, Volume 1 is an album by American saxophonist and composer Anthony Braxton, released in 1985. Musically it is a jazz record in which Braxton applies an avant-garde approach to standard material, with emphasis on improvisation, unconventional arrangements and extended saxophone techniques, and it was released during a phase when he explored the jazz repertoire.
