String Quartets, opp. 132 & 130/133

Album by Ludwig van Beethoven & Tetzlaff Quartett

String Quartets Opp. 132 and 130/133 is a set of late string quartets by Ludwig van Beethoven, composed in 1825 and 1826. Musically, they are late-period chamber works that combine dense counterpoint with extended formal structures and sudden harmonic shifts, and they come from the closing years of Beethoven's career when he turned to more introspective, compact writing.
