Symphonies nos. 38 "Prague" & 39

Album by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart & Mozarteum Orchester Salzburg & Hans Graf

Symphonies nos. 38 Prague and 39 are orchestral works by Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, composed in 1786 and 1788 respectively. Together they illustrate Mozart's mature Classical style through balanced forms, varied orchestral colour and expanded structures, with the Prague symphony preceding and the 39th forming part of the trio of large-scale symphonies he completed in 1788.
First released: 1990
