Music for Prague
Album by Karel Husa & Symfonický orchestr hlavního města Prahy FOK & Tomáš Brauner
Music for Prague 1968 is a composition by Czech-American composer Karel Husa, written in 1968. Scored for concert band, it uses dissonant harmonies, layered textures and persistent ostinatos to evoke the 1968 Soviet-led invasion of Czechoslovakia, and it is frequently performed and studied in the twentieth-century wind ensemble repertoire.
