Without Words
Album by Felix Mendelssohn & Cecil Price Walden & Bruce Levingston
Songs Without Words is a series of short piano pieces by Felix Mendelssohn, written between 1829 and 1845. The pieces exemplify Romantic-era lyricism and pianistic clarity, combining song-like melodies with concise forms and expressive harmonic language, and they occupy a notable place in Mendelssohn's output as examples of the nineteenth-century character piece for solo piano.
