Symphonies nos. 39 & 41 "Jupiter"

Album by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart & Chamber Orchestra of Europe & Nikolaus Harnoncourt

Symphonies Nos. 39 and 41 (the latter nicknamed "Jupiter") are orchestral works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, composed in 1788. They exemplify Mozart's mature Classical style through clear sonata-form structures, transparent orchestration and contrapuntal writing—particularly in the finale of the 'Jupiter' symphony—and are among his last completed symphonies, representing the culmination of his symphonic output.
