Sinfonías nos. 7 y 8
Album by Ludwig van Beethoven & Berliner Philharmoniker & Herbert von Karajan
Symphonies Nos. 7 and 8 are orchestral works by Ludwig van Beethoven, composed in 1811–1812 (the Seventh) and 1812 (the Eighth). They belong to his middle period and illustrate his exploration of rhythmic drive, classical forms and orchestral colour, with the Seventh emphasising persistent dance-like rhythms and the Eighth offering compact classical structures and moments of humour, marking a transitional moment in his output between his early and later works.
