The JP-8000 is a digital synthesizer manufactured by Roland and released in 1996. It influenced late 1990s trance and progressive house with its supersaw sounds, was used by producers such as Paul van Dyk and Ferry Corsten, and changed how leads and pads sounded in dance music by giving them thicker detuned sawtooth textures.
