Synthesizer by Sequential
The first fully programmable polyphonic synthesizer, designed by Dave Smith and John Bowen. The Prophet-5 used microprocessors to store sounds in patch memory, becoming a market leader and industry standard. Used extensively by Michael Jackson, Madonna, Kraftwerk, John Carpenter, and countless others. Three revisions were produced, with nearly 8,000 total units made.
