Fairlight CMI

Sampler by Fairlight Instruments

The Fairlight CMI is a digital sampling workstation made by Australian company Fairlight Instruments and introduced in 1979. It was one of the first instruments to allow musicians to record and play back any sound from a keyboard, and its built-in sequencer helped shape sample-based pop, hip-hop, and electronic music throughout the 1980s.
