Southern Folk

Southern Folk music emerged in the early 20th century across the American South, where it seems the locals decided storytelling needed a good singalong. It features acoustic instruments, like banjos and fiddles, whilst balancing itself precariously between heartwarming tales and gut-wrenching ballads, all boiled down to a 'good ol' boy' charm. It has the curious ability to make a rainy day feel nostalgic, which is handy, considering that's almost every day in the South.
