Sound Design
Sound Design emerged in the late 20th century, primarily in electronic music circles, when artists realised that creating emotions didn’t always require a catchy tune, just a good sound or two. It sounds like a mixture of sonic experimentation and occasional existential dread; think of ambient noises, found sounds, and the sort of things you might hear if a robot was having a bad day. Its cultural impact has led to many film scores and art installations, proving that sometimes silence is overrated but the right sounds can be captivating.
