Punk Blues
Punk Blues emerged in the late 1970s as a delightful mash-up of punk's rebellious spirit and blues' soulful lament, proving that you can be both angry and sad at the same time, which seems rather British, doesn't it? Its sound is a raucous blend of raw guitar riffs, gritty vocals, and the sort of rhythm that begs for a pint in hand, making it a favourite amongst those who enjoy yelling about their woes whilst tapping their feet. It's the genre that reminds us that punk can wear a sad clown face too, all whilst giving the finger to the status quo.
