Nordic Jazz

Nordic Jazz began to brew in the 1960s, mainly in Scandinavia where musicians took a hearty dose of traditional jazz and mixed it with folk influences, like a musical smorgasbord. Expect melodies that are as cool and crisp as a Scandinavian winter, with improvisational flair that suggests the musicians are enjoying the cold outdoors whilst contemplating deep philosophical questions. It's a genre that often makes you feel like you’re inhaling pine-scented air whilst sipping a lukewarm cup of coffee, oddly comforting yet invigorating at the same time.
