Eurodance

Eurodance burst onto the scene in the early 1990s, primarily from Germany and Belgium, proving that even dance music could do with a bit of an identity crisis; a dash of techno, a sprinkle of house, and a generous ladle of synth pop all stirred together. It's characterised by catchy melodies, driving beats, and lyrics that can make anyone feel like they’re on the brink of existential discovery or at least perpetually ready for a rave. Remarkably, it spawned a cult following, and you'll still find dedicated fans today, perhaps sporting a questionable amount of glitter and a slightly paranoid concern for their questionable fashion choices.
