Dance Rock emerged in the late 1970s and early 1980s, primarily from the throbbing beats of disco meeting the rebellious riffs of rock music; it’s almost as if someone decided to throw a house party in a garage. Characterised by infectious grooves, upbeat tempos, and just enough guitar to remind everyone this isn’t a nightclub, it sounds like a euphoric collision of dancing and headbanging.
