Caribbean Music

Caribbean music hails from the various islands that make up the Caribbean, emerging from a delightful mishmash of African rhythms, European melodies, and a pinch of spice thrown in for good measure. It’s often characterised by upbeat tempos, syncopated beats, and the sort of infectious groove that could make even the most stubborn wallflower start to sway—if not awkwardly, then at least with a hint of enthusiasm. This genre has also been quite successful in spreading sunshine and good vibes around the world, which is perhaps why you’ll hear it at every beach party and wedding, even if no one can quite agree on how to pronounce 'soca'.
