Asko Ensemble
Asko Ensemble is a Dutch contemporary music ensemble formed in Amsterdam in 1965, specialising in contemporary classical and new music repertoire. Across its career the group has focused on commissioning and premiering works by living composers, employing flexible chamber-orchestral line-ups and collaborations, and in 2009 merged with the Schönberg Ensemble to form Asko|Schönberg, contributing to the Netherlands' contemporary music scene.
